Lake Manyara Serena Lodge – Lake Manyara National Park
Standing high on the edge of a towering terracotta escarpment with panoramic views over glittering alkaline waters, the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge offers a unique blend of peace and tranquility with a range of outdoor adventure activities. Designed to reflect the brilliance of the park’s unique birdlife, the vibrantly-coloured wall frescoes depict the colorful intricacy of bird migratory patterns. Grouped around a central ‘vanishing horizon’ pool, this highly unusual lodge features a timbered reception area, which is accessed via a bridge over a small stream, and beyond this the central dining room, bar and veranda. Perched on the very edge of the cliffs is the pool bar and observation point which allows for stunning views. Dotted around the grounds, and all with lake views, are a series of circular two-storey ‘rondavels’ that house the guest rooms.
